I'll be there as well. My friend (who hasn't riden in a bit) will be with me, so knowing her we will likely only do the 47 mile route.

How is this ride? I was hoping to do it this year, but I don't think I can fit it into my schedule. Maybe next year.

I'm in for the Century (my first)....though it may become the 84 mile route.  I'm riding with a few other and we're (I'm) hoping that we can stay together for most of the ride and get done in under 5 hours.  I rode a 70 mile route last year and had a good ride except for two flats.  I almost quit except for the grace of a ride marshall with an extra tube.  Bring sunblock!!

This was my first supported ride last year.  I had a great time for the first 35 or so and then it was hot and I was alone for the last 20.  It is very flat and very hot but very well supported.  There are stops every 10-12 miles with plenty of port a potties, last year boy scouts were there with ice, cold water, Gatorade, fruit, plenty of snacks.  This started my fig newtons on the bike ritual.  Last year they had spagetti but everything was outside.  This year I understand the post race festivities will be inside with A/C!

It's a well supported ride with stops every 10-15 miles. As noted in the title, very flat and also it gets hot really quickly!

And breezy on the south-bound leg back to the stadium - especially if you are on the road late in the morning or early afternoon...

is this tri bike friendly? The only bike I'd trust for the century is a tri bike.

How was everyone's ride? I was able to make it and had an absolute blast.

Does anyone know what happened to the rider that got picked up by an ambulance? I don't remember which road it was on, but I hope he/she is okay.

I had a great ride!  Glad you had a good time.

I saw the ambulance and said a quick prayer that it wasn't for one of the riders.  Wish I knew.  Maybe we could call the sponsor bike shop and find out.
