Event warmup:

Did a few laps in a pool. This really worked out, felt strong with each lap.

Wouldn't do anything different, kept a good pace throughout. HR averaged 142.

Nothing. This too was a lot of fun for me.

Pick up the pace just a tad with the running.

Yep, my heel wasn't my friend during this race and I could tell I have been laying off the running for the past month. Time now to heal my heel.
What would you do differently?:

Try to get my heel healthy for next year and stay that way.

Was able to get a massage and it felt GREAT! They had the group from Nomad there today and they really took their time with you.
