I LOVE my road bike and it fits great, but i don't have a cyclocross bike. I want one. I'm going to use it for rails to trails paths and city riding in traffic/sidewalk/curb hopping. I"m not likely to ever use it on very rough terrain. Should i just copy my road fit or is there something else to consider? I am good with road and clueless to other aspects of cycling.

Did you go to a store and get fit on one of those fit bikes?

I have a Chili Con Crosso that is a very capable road bike.  I just flip the stem, rotate the bars down a bit, and raise the saddle about 5mm, and it's good to go.  Oh, and swap on some road tubies, those Grifos don't last long on the pave.
