Coming in from Florida (yes I know, I know) to do Boulder Half.  Should I bring out my road bike with clip on tri bars, or bring out my tri bike?  Obviously I'm going to suffer, but if there is a bunch of climbing I would prefer my road bike.  Thanks, see you out there!

There is not a lot of climbing on this course. There is a gradual climb  (about six miles) at the beginning of each loop and there are some short rollers leading out of the reservoir (somewhat like the inter coastal bridges in FL). It is all relative of course.  I used to live in FL so I know what you are coming from. Either your road or tri bike would work. I have both and would be fine riding either one on this course. I say, whatever is easier for you to ship out.
On a personal note, if you are shipping your bike would you let me know how you are doing that? I have to ship mine to FL for a race in November.
Good luck at the race.  I will be suffering also.

Thanks Kathleen.  I've been doing all my training on the tri bike so will sick with it.  I'm going to box my bike and fly with it on SouthWest, only 50 bucks each way.

Tri bike for sure. This is a pretty tame course. Best of luck and see you out there!
