Subject: Road Bike to Tri Bike Conversion and fitted
Since the triathlon bike I want costs more than my car, I started out with a road bike to tri bike conversion. Overall I am happy with this choice. I was fortunate to find a decent road bike (correct size) on craigslist, then bought aero bars, and a forward seat post. Today, I was fitted and "Wow" was my first reaction. It was well worth the money. I was fortunate that I didn't need to purchase anything else to get the correct position. If you're wondering if it's worth it, don't wait! My upper body is more relaxed and I am able to transfer more power to the bike. It's amazing how small adjustments make a huge impact.  Thanks to all who've posted info on the topic of "fittings", you pointed me in the right direction. The race isn't until May, but I'm glad I didn't wait any longer.
