Volunteered to help at this race so only got to do the 50 mile version.

Comments:

Great ride overall. Rode with a girl who rides for Pearl izumi for the first leg. We averaged 20 mph. Lost her at the rest stop, but continued at an average pace of 18mph by myself. Third leg was in to a very strong headwind along Marine Dr. No matter how hard I tried or how hard I pedaled, I couldn't get faster than about 13mph. This went on for 10 miles. Last leg was much easier, avg about 17mph but was pretty tired at the end.

What would you do differently?:

Drink more often. Train more. Will definitely need to train more if I do Harvest.
