Subject: Foot Pain/Soreness after last two Tri's......

I have completed two tri's in the past 30 days (1-sprint, 1-OLY).  After both races I have noticed a slight coontinues pain on the botton of my foot. It has stayed with me for a month now. Right in the middle of my foot toward the inside of the arch.  It is almost a soreness that feel like my tendons are real tight and pulling my foot together in a fist position?  I run in Zoot Ultra 2's and I know they are not the most cushioned but I really love how they make you feel fast?  Has anyone had similar pain or know a diagnosis for this?  Ideas, suggestions?

Sounds like you may be having issues with the various muscles/Plantar Fascia.  Have you tried rolling your feet with a ball?  After a hard bike WO I sometime feel like I can get cramps in the botom of my feet where they feel like they want to pull "in a fist position".  I'll use a Softball, baseball, tennis ball, even a golf ball, the handle of my Stick, etc to massage them, instant relive for me.

I am going to try that.  You desribed exactly how it feels.  I have read about the Planter Fascitis before and I was concerned.

Unfortunately, what you are describing sounds a lot like plantar fasciitis... I would see a doctor (try to find a doctor that is a runner or someone specializing in sports injuries) immediately and in the meantime, take time off from running, roll your sore area with a tennis ball, ice it a few times a day and take ibuprofen to reduce inflammation. Treated early and it's easy to deal with, but let it go on for a while and you may need to stay off running for upwards of 6 months.
