Didn't register in time. Did the sprint last year and hated how most people "ran" the swim. It's right down the road from me. I'll be there cheering. Good luck.

I hear you about the swim....did the Oly and it was a lot of walking and porpoising for the first 1/3, then everybody settled in. Love the rest of the course though. That run can't get any flatter!

I'm looking forward to it again this year.

Surprised to see they cut out the little stretch by CMAC on the bike course.  Any idea why they did that?

ATTENTION: The end of the Olympic and Sprint courses have been change due to construction
of the Finger Lakes College access road.  Please review the interactive maps.

This is what they are saying about that.

I'm in for the Oly. Back for another go-round after taking a hiatus last year. Great course IMO. First half of the bike is deceptively hard.

Any locals have current/recent information on water temperature?

I went for a swim this morning.  It was f'n cold.  I'd guess low 60s.  I did stay fairly close to the shore.  And its materially warmer towards the middle of the lake.  But expect it to be a shock to the system when you first get in.

My feet went numb quickly.  They did not warm up during breakfast afterwards.  Nor on the 30 minute drive to the gym near work.  It wasnt until a good 5-10 minutes in the very hot shower did my feet feel normal again.

But look on the bright side.  At least we'll have an ice-bath waiting for us at the finish!
