Call this a lesson learned the hard way. Was suffering some arm & nip chaffing from yesterday's run. Thought I'd treat it w/ some skin moisturizer, but I'll not be doing that again. I cannot honestly remember being in such pain. As soon as I put that stuff on 1 arm, I was done. Couldn't wash it off either, since it had already sunk in a bit. Decided the chaffing was less painful than the 'cure'. Laughing

anyway, my point is I don't recommend doing what I did

Ouch!  If you look at the label, most lotions have alcohol in them.  For stuff like that, take the extra time to read the label.  As for why on earth they put alcohol (a drying agent) in moisturizer, I have no idea.

Get yourself some A&D Ointment or Eucerin both work great for chaffing.

Another really great product for chaffing is Lansinoh (100% lanolin) its marketed for breast feeding mother's to relieve nipple chaffing/chapping from feeding - it doesn't cause any stinging or burning on chaffed/chapped/irritated skin and really speeds healing and protects the area well.

Been there and done that!  I cried .  Lanolin is the stuff in sheep wool before it gets washed out in the yarn making process.  Keeps sheep skin dry as a bone.

part of this thread - is chamois butter ok to use to prevent chaffing while RUNNING    . I did the same today - ran over 9m and had chaffing from the running shorts - so I put some butter on and ooooooooh! hello sting!

or do you go with glide for the non-chaffing during running?
