HEY EVERYONE!!!! When you approach Timber Lane on your first loop look for the guy in a American flag cape, bandana, and speedo with compression socks and a HR monitor. I'll be sporting the look and running up beside all of you to help carry you over. Just give Ben a shout and I'll give you some extra mojo to crest the hill.

Good luck to everyone I can't wait to watch and cheer for all of your and catch you from 9-12 at the finishline!

I'll be wearing a white K swiss top with a flag on it. Riding a white Orbea. I will look for you and I will try not to laugh. You will probably end up catching me as well. Be gentle. Hahha. See you out there!

WHAT A GREAT DAY SO FAR!!  I'm on a small break before I head out to Camp Randall to do my Running Marshal stuff.

I met many of the BT/Donkai peeps and was introduced to a couple more before the start of the race.

I was amazed at the 2nd overall person getting to the bike mount (where I was) - the 1st woman!!  KICK AZZ!

I saved one of the woman pro's Coca Cola that she dropped while heading down the Helix - I caught her just in time to hand off her bottle.  She called me "Hon" and "Babe" while thanking me.  How cool!

Hope your having a great time - I certainly am!!

There is another thread on tri talk about IMWI.

From Coredump's (AKA Chris also Laura AKA Whizzzzzz's boyfriend) facebook page

"To all my Facebook friends in Madison for the IM. You will not want to miss Laura's finish. Yes I'm being serious. And nobody tell her anything. I have a surprise waiting for her. And yes that means what you think it means. So be there, and keep it a secret! "

Estimated finish time 10-11 central time

At least the second one tonight!  I'll watch for it.  The atmosphere here is great.

BTW - HUGE Wisconsin congrats to the female winner today (Jessica Umentum-Jacobs).

Jessica grew up in Green Bay (Preble High School), and is a friend of my sister.

Great day and great race. I hope you all had the chance to enjoy the day in whatever that realm is for you. I spent about 4 hours on Timber Lane and ran up with many of you, Suzy, Tammy, Neal, Fred, Dave plus some of my other friends as well...too many to remember. Everyone looked solid on the first loop and it seemed it got a bit dicey the second go around, but that is per usual at that part of the course. And I hope that you all loved my outfit for the day.

I talked to Fred running up Timber and I guess his pedal came off? He seemed a bit off as well when I was taking to him. Caught him again a couple times on the run and he was holding on as best as he could but it was obvious that he was hurting bad. Great job on the finish!

I caught at the finish line and the general consensus from everyone was...it was great then the heat got to me. The weather was not outrageous by any means to what we had this summer, but there was A LOT of people walking, and it was everyone, KQ'ers, Pro's, MOP, BOP, times are slower then many years past as well. It was weird to see it unfold and how it got to everyone. Still congrats to everyone finishing and I hope you all enjoyed the day greatly. See you out on the course next year!

Hey Gang!  19 minute PR for me despite breaking my front cable 3 miles from the mount line and riding it that way through the stick.  Lost lots of time waiting for SAG, but kept it together mentally to have a decent race overall.

It was great to see so many BT'ers out there getting it done.  Ben thanks for the inspirational run up Old Sauk Pass!  And to Chris, very classy way to end Laura's IM!  Congrats.

Just wanted to let everyone know, I had a great day at IM Wisconsin. My timing chip somehow fell off in T2. I let the race officials know when I crossed the timing mat and didn't hear the beep,  they just told me to keep going. So I finished in 12 hours 50 mins but may not end up with an official time because of the chip. What a great race, the volunteers and crowd support are unbelievable!

I jusy want to say congrats to all of the athletes who competed yesterday...big shoutout to "Iceman" Scott Richardson who finished his 1st ironman!!!  If you have not caught at the finish line before you need to sign up to do it at a future race...it is AWESOME!!!  The last male finisher's son (who had finished earlier) waited for about 30 minutes at the finish line for his dad...when he came up I asked him who he was waiting for and he said my dad.  I asked him is he close?  He looked at me with eyes watering and said "I hope so..."  as the time got closer and closer to midnight he was just standing there waiting and all of us catchers were just hoping...at 11:58:45 Mike Reilly says "we got one more finisher and he is going to make it!!!"  The kid looks up and suddenly throws off his foil..it was his dad!!!!  He finished just over 11:59 and his son caught him!!  It was super emotional!!!
