Subject: Open Water Swim Party - Weds after work
Lisa (javamom) and I are going to party out at Saguaro Lake Weds after work. The party includes a couple loops or more of the Saguaro swim course, + a night run (4 miles) up the brick road, followed by a beer.

We're getting out there at 4:45p or so.

Everyone who can get off work that early, and who is training for something right now, really should come out and join us!

Don't forget your headlamp and your wetsuit.

I would love to join but my new training plan has a big focus on drinking and not so much of the swimming and running.

I did start a whole thread a couple months ago on if beer can be considered a recovery drink.  It's a simple carb, right?

sounds like fun.  Wish we had a Tucson contingency... and a lake.

I can't make this Wednesday, but would anyone like to swim on Saturday morning?  My plan says 4200m, which is something like seven loops of the BJC buoys. Would like company for part or all of the loops if anyone is game.

I also wouldn't mind some kind of out and back, such as swimming from BJC to Keyhole and back, if anyone knows how far that is. I've heard of other Ironman groups doing that. It would break up the monotony of buoy loops...

I can't go to the swim this week either. This might be a good thing considering that the right side of my back hurts when I turn right - this could ruin a swim I think
