We must have about 4" - 6" of snow this morning too, still snowing and strong winds, all the school are closed. It made for a fun run, Brewer and i jumping over snow banks. Now I get to go clear off the driveway.

Well Darren I am going to give you a run for your money after today.

Commuted with 4-6" of fresh snow and it took me about 30 minutes longer.

Although this will be it for points at least it will look good

nice!

Well this is going to be an interesting ride home - snowed all day long even though they called for it to stop by noon.

I just hope I am rested enough to ride again tomorrow.  I have issues I realize that - but as long as you are comfortable admitting it then it is all good!

Man you keep making those 700 point rides you are going to make this interesting.

Took a day off today Darren but am planning on hitting the bike again tomorrow - supposed to be low 20's - warm up next week supposedly!

weak. 32k today. Icy pathways and sleet for the first hour. Not too cold though.

You better go long tomorrow if it is warming up.

Darren - scored a couple of more points - 14 degrees with the commute this morning - just wish it was snowing

Looks like the afternoon will be point worthy as well.

All for naught possibly - Might be going to California again the end of next week but wait this ends Thursday right?  Ahhh - the possibility is still there.  Now for Global Warming to take over Darrens neighborhood for 1 week LOL

It can't come fast enough. Hopefully this will be my last week with points.

Just cracked a new point plateu for me.  These points are getting old - I wish it was about 30 degrees warmer (or more)

Highs in the 20s through Wednesday with lows in the teens for my morning commute so I should be able to pressure Darren until the end.

I really wish it was over though and it would warm up.  My body is tired of being cold!  I had to turn around today and relayer because the sun was so bright but the wind chill was about 5-10F and that is before adding in bike speed!  brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

dangit, I think the title might be yours this year Bill. Highs going to 9C next week. Today's points may be the end of it; oh how I hope.

Way to go Bill.

As for me, woke up to 51 degrees for the commute in.  Think I am done with points (says one of the bottom dwellers for those who logged in to the end).

Had fun and broke 6000.  Maybe can do better next year - stay healthier, uninjured and maybe get a little more winter weather next season.

Have a great season all y'all.

Nice job guys!  We're headed to the mountains for a hut trip for the weekend, but even if the challenge wasn't ending I still wouldn't get any points -- it's supposed to be 40s all weekend.  Hard to complain about the warm dry winter we had when everyone else was getting pounded with snow and sub-zero temps tho.  I think I only missed 2 weekends of riding outside due to snow all winter.  Of course there's always a downside - now we're getting hit with wildfires.  Send us some moisture please!

Have a great racing season -- see you next winter Smile

Nice job Bill and Darren! Guess I will have to try again next year, maybe train for a spring 50K.

Looks like I could keep earning points into next week with the morning lows. Ready for some warm weather, this has been a long winter.

Well I won't officially concede yet, however, it does appear that I am 332 points behind. Blasted!

Way to go Bill, you really powered it this week with those commutes, I don't know how you do that, amazing.

As always this challenge ends about a month early for me....although we had a warm one this week (thank goodness), looking at 10-15 cm on Saturday, should make my 10k race on Sunday a real delight.

All this talk of warm weather is making me sick - 30 degrees with rain/snow this morning again!

I just hope Colorado is warm in 2 weeks when we are out there on vacation.  I need my sunshine fill again!

Last time you were here was the only snow we got in the metro area in March

18 inches of snow, more or less.

Up to plus 7C next week though. Go away snow.
