Subject: Aero seatpost blinky light?
I have a new aero seatpost (got it for the dual seatpost position capability).  Most rear lights are not designed to go onto anything but a round post.  My old light is fairly useless now.

Any good suggestions on lights that will fit around a stout aero seatpost?

You can also just attach the light to your clothes, I do that when on my Tri bike.

Zip strips, the plastic bundle ties, work great.

On my Cervelo I just cracked open the zipper on my under-seat bag and hooked the blinky light into that - works just fine.

the blinky light from RoadID has a clip that you can clip onto your jersey, or to your saddle bag, or to a zip-tie, etc...  It's pretty inexpensive and is very bright.

Does your seatpost have holes in the top to move around the saddle? My Blue Triad has three positions, and my saddle is in the middle one. I use a Planetbike superblinky taped on with electrical tape with the clamp that usually goes around a round seatpost in the last setting on the seatpost, and it works very well. I can post a picture if you want to see the setup.

Mine has two positions (Kestrel Talon).  I am using the rearward position right now, but I'll keep that in mind.  I want to stay away from electrical tape - it gets to be a mess after a while.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Knog lights - I'll look at those.  Or break down and use zip ties, though I wanted a bit more of an elegant solution.
