Vodka, Grapefruit, Cranberry!!

Good job on the 16 Miles... which brings me to this idea....

How about saturday is Team Redundancy Team's "Do-A-Brick Brick' day? Depending on whether I get out after dinner or before, I'll probably go an hour each. What do you say guys and dolls??

What does everyone have planned for today? Sounds like folks have some races this weekend. Good luck. I came in to work early just so I could use a few hours at the pool during lunch. Writing out my routine in a few minutes. I'd like to hit the treadmill afterwards for 3-5 miles at 1 degree incline. It's just too nasty out to run on the road.

Since my Dad in in town on business and tonight is his last night here, we will be out having beers until late.

I got in my usual 6am Master's swim and later this afternoon I will do a short brick.  I will only ride about 3 miles and then will walk/run 1.6 miles.  That's the plan for today.

Doing a brick on Saturdays sounds like something I could definitely fit it to my schedule - what a hard core team!

As for today, I am meeting up with some friends to do a 30k ride - fun! fun!

I think the brick is a good idea, but as long as it's at some point over the weekend - not necessarily Sat.

As for today, it sucks outside here in CO. I don't work out until evenings so I'm waiting for then to see how the weather is. I'd like to go run if I can.

Whoa!! If people are racing this weekend, be careful!!

Tabasco, if 2x5K is nothing to you, then it's cool. But a double race weekend does hurt the body.

If you have a tough race, don't do a brick the next day. There isn't much benefit from it.
If it's not your A-race, do something like a recovery day, then maybe a brick two days after. Don't go too hard too quickly after killing yourselves, but don't wait too too long.

and look, if I were posting two-dimensionally, I"d have made 12^2 posts.

I had enough pints last night for the whole team. Good luck to everyone racing this weekend! Good luck to everyone getting some good training in. Looking forward to seeing how we're doing on the monthly goals.

I think I may ride out of town on an extended bike trip. All my buddies are at weddings or left to go home.

I think that's everyone. I really hope I'm not missing someone.

But on to more business:
Team Redundancy Team's "Do a brick brick-weekend" notables...

Tabasco ran back to back 5K races, going 3 minutes faster the second time around at 26:40!! (keep in mind, that's 5:20/km, and it only gets faster from here!)

I did a 2hr brick workout myself.

More stories on the way!!! I'll be editing this post. Don't be afraid to to shout out your accomplishments!

...Team Redundancy Team is training/racing a brick this weekend. What's your team doing?

CrazyPop has speed on his mind as he tore up the brick with 32km/hr cycling (huge wind) and 4:30/km running!!!

Amy brought it to my attention that my log was not visable to the rest. This should be fixed now.
I must warn you guys, my log is not that great. I've just been adding my distances. I have my workouts handwritten in a notebook. Kinda old school, huh?

Hope everyone has a great Sunday. I'm off to the gym where I have mapped out a good outdoor run for after my swim.

No bricks for me this weekend, unfortunately. I hurt my lower leg running on a treadmill late last week. I was told by a sports chiropractor that it plays with your running mechanics differently and if you have have existing issues, it can sometimes be compounded. Looks like it was me this time. It's getting better, but I need to stay off it for a few days. As a side note, he told me that if you run on a treadmill, it's best to use a 1 to 2 level incline setting to better simulate outside conditions.

My workouts will be slow again this week, but then I'm done with night classes for the rest of the month and have more workout time!

1) My friends dragging me up and down countless hills
2) My friends smiling at me afterwards
