Hey Team,

I'm going to sit and think about my goals for this month and I'll post them tomorrow.  I love the core strength part of the challenge and I'm going to focus on that this month.  and I got to put in some running kms to make my race at the end of the month!

welcome to the team Nikki!

Has anyone said who won the July challenge yet?

Here are my new goals for August. Trying to be realistic with them since the gym will be closed for 2 weeks, but also trying to push myself to go farther than last month. Just gonna have to be creative about when I get those workouts in:

Bike: 90 (that's really pushing it, but we'll see).
Run: 36 miles (also pushing it)
Swim: 6000 meters (has to be kinda low because the gym will be closed for half of the month).
Core: To do 4 hours of pilates/yoga/strength this month (I can't lift weights that much because, again, gym is closed)

Sweet. Go team 10!

hi everyone!! Thanks for having me. I will think out my goals and post them today or latest tomorrow. I am signed up for sprint in Sept and I might take a peak at some workout schedules in order to figure out what I should be doing. Do I post just here or elsewhere as well? What are the guidelines? Is it four areas of focus, the three and core?

JodiLynn & Chris Tree - you guys are so motivating! I'll get my goals up soon. This month I'm going to try to do swim & bike in distance. Running will still be in minutes. Biking should be interesting b/c I'm doing a 100mi ride on Saturday...

Welcome, new Good In-10-tions member nikki!!!

hey kids!

so what's the plan this month? is it the same story as last month? SBR total distance?

i'm good to go again, if you don't mind low goal numbers ( i barely made last months goals, esp. with a nagging injury and a taper for a "A" race). i've got two races this month, and want to get a proper taper in so i can go and light it up out there!

i'm all good with cap'n bannana running the show again, and if i'm still in, i'll figgure out totals tommorow.

GO TENS!

Ok here are my goals for the month.  I'm hoping that they are managble.  I cut down the swim time from the last month because I've got to focus on my running this month to make sure I can manage my City to Surf event at the end of August!

Swim 200 mins/Bike 500 mins/Run 300 mins/Core 600 mins

Annabanana I would love you to stay as captain as you were such a great captain last month.  Let us know if it took up too much time and you want to pass on the captain's hat.

Also Chris and I were throwing around an idea that our team could do this month as an extra little challenge.  The Inaugural International Treeman Triathlon (or Woody Tri I vote for the Woody Tri personally

We could all set a goal for a brick session one day this month and do our own personal tri. What does everyone think about that idea?

I'm going to post my goals here, as I'm not sure where they should go. I'm going to be on vacation from 16 August to 25 August, so my goals will be somewhat lower. I'll also only have limited internet access during that time.

Swimming 10,000 yards
Running 70 miles
Biking 250 miles

I'm all for a return of Captain Banana and I think it would be sporting to participate in the Woody.

Welcome Tizzy - so good to have you and you really help round out our 'round the world' team - being in Hawaii! You've just doubled your fun coming from the 5s to the 10s!

Everyone! I'm home!!!! I'd love to be captain again if you can stand that dancing banana (maybe I can get a plain old banana icon soon)

Please post your goals here by the end of the week. I'll get our team spreadsheet going and will get the info to Jean (Rennick) ASAP for the master spreadsheet. If you are adding a core challenge, please let me know that, too. (it's optional)

And I am in for the WOODY cause I love the name, I'll read the posts and see what I'm signing up for!

Hey - cool news! My sister has moved nearby from far away, and she is up for a job with SommerSports who put on the Great Floridian triathon (and a lot more). Keep a good thought for her on this, it would be so perfect as she is a triathlete, too (or will be again when she recovers from her ACL surgery)

Funny story, she went to the Y for a swim workout while we were gone - the same place that always makes me sick - anyway, she got pulled out of the pool because yet another baby threw up in it....sister was so into her workout that she didn't notice and when the guards finally got her attention she was the only one left in the pool!

Ok, time to read some emails and otherwise catch up on the computer stuff before we are off to take Grandma (my mom) to the airport (snifffff) I am going to miss her a lot!

And then I am going to do something to workout - maybe go for a ride!

Good morning Nikki! Another early bird - whahooo....Here's the post I found about the Woody

from Splerph:
"Also Chris and I were throwing around an idea that our team could do this month as an extra little challenge. The Inaugural International Treeman Triathlon (or Woody Tri I vote for the Woody Tri personally)

Hahah, maybe I'll get my sister to design a tshirt we can order from cafepress.com - (she's a graphic artist)

i'm in for the woody. and a crazy shirt (dri fit dri fit dri fit!) to celebrate it.

tentative (realistic, but challenging...no biking in the dark) goals -
swim 7000 yards (i *think* my pool's in yards)
bike 260 miles (including my century. how do the rest of you bike so far in a month?!?)
run 500 min (i should be running more long distances to prep for my 1/2 marathon in october)

let me think on these a little. comments are good. i'll revise at the end of the day.

Woo hoo! I'd love to do the Woody, and I'd love a shirt so that I can show off to everyone at the gym that I'm a triathlete. LOL.

Do we all do our personal tris on the same day? Or is it just sometime this month? If we do it the same day, it'll have to be later in the month as the only pool I have access to (CSU rec center) is closed for two weeks starting tomorrow. That sucks major butt.

Welcome new members!!!

That stinks that we came in second. Who won? Have they picked a charity yet? And are we doing the charity thing this month, or just bragging rights?

We are so going to take them this month. Second place, we are so much better than that. Rock on! K, off to eat something now. Just finished my two-a-day! I will hit you all with inspirations tomorrow!

okay...here goes.

5775 yds swim (or roughly 3.5 hrs)
105 miles bike
25 miles run
2 hrs strength

The woody sounds great! Do we have to all do the brick the same day? Is it a brick or a tri? This team is GREAT!!

Hey Nikki!

I'm so glad to see you here today - I have been feeling completely unmotivated and need to kick it into gear for the weekend....not sure why but hormones can always be blamed!

How are all the rest of you doing out there????? I'll start a new thread in a bit with our team roster and goals all in one place at the top, and ideas about the Woody (just love that name!)

come out come out whereever you are!
