I seem to remember around the time that Wm's dad, Charles was young and single, that he needed to find a woman, not only with the right blood lines, but who was a virgin, as this was going to be verified. Diana was a shy, young single schoolteacher at the time, and if not a virgin, at least it seemed quite plausable to the public that Charles was maintaining the tradition and following the rules. Perhaps I'm wrong, but have times changed enough so that the royal family and church no longer gives a hoot? Or, will Kate have had to maintain (or pretend to maintain) her virginity all these years? what's the deal with this? |
