I've had a Vortex 2 since 2007 and have had zero problems.  Shows very little wear and tear and I haven't been the most gentle owner.

I've had my sleeveless Vortex 3 for about a year, done several races in it (bought it about this time last year when they were real cheap).  It's the only suit I've owned so no basis for comparison, but it makes me about 10-15s/100 faster (I'm around a 2:00/100 swimmer in the pool) and is easy to put on/take off.  I ripped a hole it at one of my races, but glued it back together with aquaseal and it's good as new.  I'd certainly recommend it.

Another sleeveless Vortex 3 user here.  I really like it.  I ordered it on a whim when it was on a deep discount about a year ago and I've been very pleased.  I wore it for 4 tri's last summer (and many open water practice swims).  I have managed to put two holes in it with my fingernails, but they are easily patchable.

It's my first wetsuit, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

I got the vortex 3 last winter, worked very well for me this last season! One of my training partners bought the same one and had a minor tear in the sleeve but that is the only flaw we have found. For the price it is a great suit!

I bought the Vortex 3 full suit this year.  Worked great.  No issues.    Good range of motion in the shoulders.

XTerra are the best wetsuits and speedsuits I've used. I have a Vendetta wetsuit and VelocityM speedsuit.

Great company with great customer service!

I believe this is their low-end model that I bought last year on sale for $99.00.  Compared to the one I rented the season previous, it is noticeably less bouyant.  It is better than nothing, however.

Buy the mid-level suit its worth the extra $50 when they have their 1/2 price sell.  I have used it at the Olympic, 70.3 and IM distances and loved it in all of them.

The Vortex 3 is a full 5mm in front, 3mm in back wetsuit (pretty standard), the Volt is the new low end model which is thinner (3/2mm).
