Here is one of my many smoothie recipes as an example.

1/2 cup of Silk Almond Milk
1/2 cup of Stonyfield Blueberry Organic Yogurt
1/2 cup of strawberries
1/2 banana
scoop of chocolate protein powder

I'm just curious if I were to double, triple, or quadruple this recipe, how long can you keep something like this in the refridgerator before it goes bad?

Depends where you keep your fridge set, but don't forget that some nutrients go away long before the smoothie will go bad.

I would definitely not keep in the fridge for more than a couple of days - at a MAXIMUM! Bacteria grow really easy in smoothies especially when you have yogurt in it.

I made a large smoothie and put half in the fridge, and had to throw it out.  It just turned to a liquid and changed color.  I tried to reblend and it just didn't have the right consistency.  Best to make it fresh.

Freezing doesn't work any better.  I suppose you could make smoothie sicles.

I've tried the freezing thing as a way of saving time and doing less dishes (i.e. having to wash the blender) but they take too long to defrost.

I've done this in the summer.  It works really well, especially if your smoothie starts out on the thick side.  The thought of doing that this time of year is not so appealing, however.
