Pretty commonly, my joints make popping/cracking noises.  Most commonly, are my knees, ankles, wrists and back.  it is never accompanied by pain.  I was just wondering if anyone else's joints are as 'vocal' as mine.  it is not all the time, but it is quite frequent.

Aw heck yea, I'm usually worst when I first wake up.  I creek and crack like hardwood floors in 150 year old house.

Mine have been pretty bad at times.  Most notably my left ankle and both knees.  My wife seems to get a kick out of it though.

Yes when I do push ups. Probably since I'm so weak.

You're definitely not alone. I can't sneak up on anyone because my ankles make snapping/popping noises as I walk, probably from past ankle sprains that are too numerous to count.

If I squat down, my knees usually give a good pop as well.

Luckily, neither my ankles nor my knees usually hurt.

One of my friends calls me Poppy, and not after the flower. i hate walking down stairs in a stairwell because the sounds of my ankles snapping and my knees grinding, echoing? Disgusting.

I creak and crack, but have noticed that it is not as bad since I started taking glucosamine...maybe it's just coincidence, since so many ppl discount it, but maybe it's not...

My left knee does this all of the time. When I'm just sitting around bending my knee back and forth I hear the crackling sound and after moving it back and forth about 5 times, it'll always pop. There's never any pain associated with it though. I would love to know what the sound is all about though.

The loudest pop i can make is both of my elbows...i straighten my arms out after they have been bent for a while, and POP! usually draws a look.  My right shoulder cracks if i move it in circles, and will crack after crack after crack. and my knees will but only once in a while.  Even my jaw cracks now and then.  but none of them hurt.  The weirdest one is my sternum...if i'm doing yoga and get into  certain positions, and then bring my shoulder blades back, my sternum will pop....that one is a weird feeling

You're not alone.  I can pop my ankles, toes, knees, hips, fingers, and neck.  It drives people at work crazy, but I can't always help it.

constantly.

I have popcorn in my shoulders...can't throw a ball anymore without pain and Motrin the next day, and sure as heck can't throw with any force.

My ankles crackle when I play golf.

And everything else just pops pretty much whenever.

My kids tell me that I could never become a burglar as I could never sneak up on anyone.  I always sound like I'm carrying a bowl of rice krispies when I walk around.

If the tendonitis in my left knee gets bad enough, it'll creak like an old, heavy door. It's pretty rare for that to happen, but people give me the most amazed looks when it does.

Other than that, I crack and pop a good bit. Not as bad as some other folks, but enough that my GF is grossed-out sometimes. My knees have been noisy all my life, so I never thought anything about it until a doctor brought it to my attention when I was 19. The rest are from various injuries. It's all part of experience having an effect on the body. Those of us who don't spend all our time sitting on the couch are bound to get hurt once-in-a-while, and those injuries add up. I don't think of it as primarily age-related because some younger folks have more injuries than some older folks, and it shows.

Absolutely.  It freaked out my boyfriend because he'd go to hug me and my back would crack in a million places.  Being 4'10"/105lbs, he thought he had broken me.

Ha, shamefully glad not to be the only one! My knees snap so loudly it makes people go ", eeeeewww, did that hurt?" walking along is ok, its the standing around and moving slow that makes the snap sound. Very embarrassing in quiet places like library's etc. The rice krispie sounds in the knees usually happen when sitting.in the future we will all have grease fittings.

Mine make noises all the time, but I'm a human junkyard. I full of bolts, spare parts, heart patches, false teeth. It all makes creeks and squeeks and pops and groans. It all still works though. Cool
