I am just curious what the average is.

My current plan is + 1 hour over my Stand Alone Marathon PR.

That's actually somewhat common...and has been vetted about 1000 times on the forum.

The secret is correct bike pacing. You're looking at about a minute difference per mile if you have solid bike fitness and can pace the bike.

If you see something much faster than that, I would just say the Marathon PR could easily be reestablished.

I did a search and was unable to find other information on this.  From what I have observed, the average is between 60-90 minutes, even with proper nutrition and training.  Aggressive bike pacing and starting the run too fast seem to be the main villians in bad run times.

Bump.  Then I'll let this die.

A lot of you have rocked the run, IMO.

Bobby McGee suggests that your run time should be about 4-7% slower in a tri than standalone. If your standalone mary is 4 hours, then a good target would be 4:15 to 4:30 at the most (that's 7-10% slower). If your IM run is much slower than that, it's a bike fitness/bike pacing issue, not necessarily a run issue. That's the beauty of tris...nothing stands alone.

It's impossible for me to say...  So much goes into it.  The numbers could be misleading...

My open mary was 4:23 but I didn't train for it.
My Silverman run was 4:53.  And I don't think I was trained for it, but paced the bike well.
My IMSG run was 5:53.  I was trained the BEST for this race, but bad bike pacing and a cold ruined it...

So really, numbers, unless you have a LOT of them, don't really matter.  Do I say my IM run is only 30 minutes slower?  Or 90 minutes slower?  What if I trained for my open mary?  The gaps could have been bigger.

How do you "observe" proper nutrition and training?

But I agree, the reason most people don't get closer to their open marathon times is due to poor pacing (thoughout the race).  Of course, that's also a contributor to why some people don't have better open marathon times.
