Bummer! Pulled my calf at 3km.
I usually do run in about 26 min which would have put me into the top 10.
I had to hobble back to finish line.

Ouch, calf problems...!  Great job in pushing through it though and finishing strong.

That swim was weird, I can not work out why I went so wide... The current must have pushed me over, but why wasn't everyone else? I made the mistake of starting too wide from the flags though too. I'll start closer in next time

Good race though! I clearly have a few things to learn from you re: transition! I was quite a bit slower!

Thanks guys.

Yeah my splits were pretty good. I knew that my calf might pull me up so I was determined to go as fast as possible until the run.

I don't wear socks on my run and I leave the shoes on the bike although I haven't managed to get into my shoes on the bike yet. I have 3 straps on my shoes so it makes it very difficult.

Great that we have a few Melbournites on this site now!

I'm going to take a rest for at least 2 weeks and hopefully get back on track with my running over the next few months.
