Subject: Garmin 610

Just got an email from Garmin announcing the new 610 with a touch screen.  Geekophile that I am the touch screen appeals to me; just not sure what the effects of sweat, humidity, etc will be. 

Anyone have any idea about $$$$ of the unit????

appears to me that the 310xt still is superior, but much better than 405 et al. except for the price.

another great review by Ray.  And nice pace on that 13 mile run.

the touch screen looked a little finicky.

FWIW 405's are now available at less than half the price of the new 610.

I was really disappointed it wasn't a 310 replacement as they thought it would be.  I wonder when/what that will be.

Ya know...that's the kicker too.  I spent that entire run thinking to myself "Everyone is going to be lookng at the pace I run in the review screenshots".  The problem was that the weather went from 50*F the last...you know...6 months, to a random 84*F day.  Doh!  It's back to 50*F and raining now.
