Subject: RE: A Tri in the Buff - Olympic Distance : Official Thread Good race, but the run course was very poorly marked for the front runners. This wouldn't necessarily be a concern for most racers, but I was the second athlete on the run course (that was caught by two other runners). We literally stood around for several minutes wondering where the course went (no volunteers to help point the route out), and when we finally did find the correct way missed the turnaround (no volunteers and ended up adding .6 miles onto our run. For most other athletes, they just simply followed the people in front of them, but there was very little effort to mark the course clearly which cost time and a fair finishing placement. Other than that, the course is beautiful and very scenic, and would be highly recommended save for my previous notes. |
