Subject: TXman X50

New to this site, but was wondering if anyone is doing this race?? I am interested in doing this distance but not sure how many people will do it since it is the first time they are doing this race at this distance... Don't want to be the only one out there

Welcome to BT...you will love it here! I've learned a ton over the last couple of years.

I will be doing the olympic distance this year for TX Man. Just not quite ready to tackle the X50 yet but hope to next year. But, while setting up my transition site at the King Tut tri a couple weeks back I talked with 2 guys next to me that were both registered for the X50 event. One felt well trained while the other was stressing about it due to lack of training. so there you go...at least there will be 3 of you out there...

I am doing it, and also a bunch of my friends from Triple Threat. We are all training for the Coeur d'Alene Ironman on 6/26, so this will be a great practice run. (We even have to add an extra 6 miles at the end of the race to get our training in for the day).
