Anyone registered for this series? It starts at Holy Name church on CR 24 to CR 19 (11 miles roundtrip).

Not doing the series, but will be racing a couple of the days. If you're interested in TTs, check out the Farm Dog Series too.

Same here, will be racing a few, but not the series due to time constraints and kids...

Is the Farm-Dog series the old Black Dog TT?  Will probably race a few of those too..  I used to photograph that one, then actually rode it a few times .  It really got me into road riding..

Farm Dog TT is in Lakeville. I may do 1 or 2 races. It's kinda time consuming on traveling. TNT is much closer to home. I registered to do the entire TNT series.

Thanks.  lakeville is a little too far to make it on time.  Look up Silver cycling.  They sponsored the old Black Dog TT on Black Dog road in Bloomington.  The road is in great disrepair, so they moved the series somewhere near by.  This might be another race you can get to...

The disbanded "Black Dog" and now just host "Farm Dog" over in Lakeville. I raced it a couple times last year. Funky "T" style course w/ one nice climb. They kick off the Dog races w/ a Double Dog TT, which is new this year. It's on a Saturday, though, so could allow people that couldn't make weekday races to hit it. Not sure what the Double means though...two laps?

I think you'll like it.  I was a casual road biker (And Clydesdale).  I could never keep up to anyone in a road race.  I went to photograph some friends doing the TT and thought, I could do this, just me against the clock.  As it turns out, there was loads of encouragement (Usually by the guys catching and passing me).  I loved it and try to do a few every summer now..  The Bike Porn is pretty awesome too...

I'll be at TNT a few times I'm sure. And my brother-in-law will be there too. It's a fun little "kick in the pants." Love it.

Now if only we can stop seeing SNOW in the forecast......

tomorrow is the first TT.  It looks like it is going to be a hot and stormy night.

I signed up for the season.  I did one (slowly) last year.  It was fun.  I worked hard on my run this past winter, but not much on the bike.  SO i am hoping this will help keep me motivated.  I dont think i will make it to every trial, but i am going to shoot for many of them.

Have to miss opening day due to work trip in Boston this week. But I've decided to pour kerosene all over my legs, light it, and let it burn for 20 minutes in honor of those doing it. Have fun and leave it all out on the course!

Just a reminder for those of you who are planning to make it out tonight - the course has been flip-flopped since last year.  So, what was once the turnaround is now the start/finish line (and vice-versa).

Parking is in the southeast corner of the Holy Name Church lot (near the ball fields).

I hope to see you there!

Anyone hitting this tuesday's TT? Also, I'm wondering if anyone knows how soon before race you can pre-register online? Is it 24 hours, or can you do it the day of the TT event?

I'm going to have trouble getting there on time unless I bring my kids.  Is it kid friendly?  Is there an area they can play catch or something ??

Last night was almost perfect night for racing. Cool and little east wind. I set a new PR last night. Still slow with average 21.42mph for 11 miles. I was kinda surprised that I did well after 1 day of rest from Albert Lea triathlon race last Sunday. This race attracts great time trialists. They were FAST! One guy Jon Toftoy rocking at 29.6 mph average. Just incredible.

I was surprised at the number of decent hills on that course. Having never ridden it before, I definitely didn't pace as well as I should! But it's a nice course that offers some good challenge. Agree that there's definitely a pretty fast field at this race, which is kind of surprising seeing as it's a non-USAC event.

Toftoy is one heck of a time-trialist. He's a regular on the podium and is well respected in the MN racing community. Not only did he post the fastest overall 'aero' time, he raced it again, "merckx"-style (non-aero)...and placed 20th overall. Yes, as in 20th out of everyone else who raced, including the aero racers. I was his 30 second guy the second time he raced. He caught me past the turnaround. Amazing.

I was right behind you speed wise.  The kid (less then 20) that started after me flew by me after about 5 minutes in.  I dont feel bad.  he finished 6th.  I love the sound of a disc wheel coming up behind me and flying by.
