Subject: Ft. Lauderdale Area BT'ers - Bike Route Suggestions

Just posted this in the "Triathlon Talk" forum and then realized it is probably better here:

Headed to Ft. Lauderdale this weekend for Mother's Day.  Looking to get in a 60 mile training ride Saturday morning.  Any suggestions??..preferably near Sunrise/Plantation.  Last year hit the beach and rode A1A out and back....looking for an alternative this year.  A loop would be nice since my brother is going with me and is interested in a shorter ride.  Thanks!

Years ago when I lived in Plantation, I would head out to Weston to ride.  You may want to check out this link http://alexbicycles.com/articles/rides-and-events-pg37.htm

I guess since I started the thread, I can hijack it:  Is that a German Shepherd?  GSD's are our family dog of choice, although ours isn't quite as big.

OK...that is massive!  Other than the size, his puppy picture looks a lot like our dog when she was a puppy.  Ours is a female, roughly 85 pounds now (3 years old) and agreed, they are great.  She is an amazing family dog for our four daughters...and waayyyy faster than me, and perhaps smarter.  Our current dog is our second German Shepherd.  The first was put down a few years ago (I got her as a puppy when I was in college many moons ago.)  Congrats!..obviously, I am a huge fan of the breed.

that's a big female!  I don't think there's any doubt that my dog is smarter than me!
