No porta potties on the course + a stomach that was feeling the effects of last night's over-indulgence + a McDonalds 100m from the race course = a very necessary detour

Did you get the egg mcmuffin, or the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit?

McDonald's is just friggin' nasty under the best of circumstances, I would barf even thinking about eating that crap during a race.

Making a deposit of that, uh, nature, though, is rather appropriate.

I'm about half way through my IM plan for Lousiville and obviously fast food is not part of the nutrition plan. But this Saturday I found myself rushing to meet a friend and swung through McDonalds for lunch. I had a Black Angus cheeseburger meal with large fries and it was heaven on a bun.

I guess that once every three months or so you just have to indulge yourself. No regrets at all.

When I first started my diet, a good burger was the cheat food that i denied myself. I had a 3 month goal, and i said i would allow myself a cheeseburger at the end of that 3 months. I made it, got my "Rocket Double" from johnny rockets....and I was so disappointed. I set another 3 month goal, hit that goal, had a "five guys" burger...and I was so disappointed. I no longer eat cheeseburgers now

If you still won your age group, that would be impressive.

SO WHAT DID YOU GET?

Please don't tell me you took all that time to stop just to use their bathroom. What a waste of a trip.

One time, during an Oly, I saw a "Pizza 3mi" sign maybe 6mi into the bike and that's all I could think about for the rest of the tri. It's probably a good thing the course veered off from wherever the pizza was.

I'm still thinking about that pizza.

Yeah, didn't order anything, although the thought of standing in line with my race number on and picking up a little something is kind of amusing.
