Subject: Compression socks / Recovery socks ??

Hi folks,

 

is there any difference between compression socks and recovery socks ??

 

I think no but I'm not sure why (other marketing) some brands call them recovery or compression...

It is my understanding through a discussion with a knowledgable sales rep at a reputable run shop, that there are socks/sleeves designed for during exercise, socks/sleeves designed for post exercise, and socks/sleeves designed for both during and post exercise.

I don't have an answer to the differences, but I would think there is at least a little bit of science behind the differences and not just marketing.
