Does anyone know the actual elevation gain of the ride? The site says 2200 but reading people's reports gives a large variety of answers.

My Garmin said over 3.5k ft of climbing. I think that's overstated; It is a hilly race course for sure, but there's only a few long/steep hills.

It looks like 1 loop this year out to Granit Falls.  Is this the same as last year or did they do the 2 loop course last year?

It changed to 1 loop in 2012.

It was a 1 loop course with some good hills in there.  I had a great time on the bike on the course. I would say the last 5 miles were somewhat boring though compared to the first 51 miles of the course.

As the weather gets better this spring, are there folks willing to ride this course?  I rode it by myself last year while training, had a flat.  And well, it taught me to have ride in a group. Smile

Definitely.  As we get closer to the race a group I ride with does the course pretty regularly. Besides flat tires, there are more than a fair share of drivers out there who are overtly aggressive towards cyclists so riding with a group is a very good idea.  I'll post here again when we starting riding the course this summer.

I am very interested in riding the course with a group as well. I have read that the locals aren't too friendly towards cyclists. PM me or repost some days and times and we will get it done.

Sounds good.  In the meantime, I'll be on my trainer.  Wink

I loved the bike leg last year. Lot's of rolling hills. I didn't find it sketchy in the slightest; even in the rain!

I'm also interested in riding this a few times before the race!
