Swim
Comments: super short, super cold, first time using Jo's Zoot full, which I loved! :) No big gap at the neck was really nice, especially considering how cold it was. What would you do differently?: swim harder Transition 1
Comments: not to bad considering I only did 2 run throughs before the race. What would you do differently?: not much. Bike
Comments: Holy crap...this is gonna be one long weekend! The 1 mile climb took all my gears. Uh oh. :-0 Totally scrubbed speed. Fiona is much more aggressivly set up than the s32 and I've only ridden her about 10 or 12 hours outside. Really need to become more confident on the down hills. I weigh enough to pick up some good speed...no sense in letting my big bum go to waste lol! What would you do differently?: need to learn to desend better, and get stronger on climbing Transition 2
Comments: Fastest t2 ever. Whoo hooo! What would you do differently?: Nothing! Run
Comments: well, I ranked higher on the run than my bike....that tells you how much speed I scrubbed on the bike! My garmin was not picking up power or hr, so I went by RPE, which was fine. Of course I was kind of conservative because I knew all that was to come. What would you do differently?: Hopefully next year the garmin will be working better and I'll be pushing MORE! It's only a mile for heavens sake! Post race
Warm down: Ranger, Steve and I went into the river for the icebath! :) Yeah, we didn't HAVE to, but it's what you do at TTT. Felt good! Drank a muscle milk and bs with some folks in the river. AWESOME! What limited your ability to perform faster: No data, and fear of using too much energy with the rest of the weekend looming. Its a little tiny race...I think I can push all three harder next year and it won't cost me in the end. Event comments: The first of 4...soooo unique and challenging! :) Last updated: 2011-01-17 12:00 AM

Got to the lodge, checked in, got our jerseys for the weekend, chips, body marked and unpacked in our rooms. Strange enough, I was kinda of calm.
Got wet...that's about it. :)
