Subject: Best day in the pool
I went for my swim on Sunday and had the best day in the pool.  I felt very smooth and fast, good times overall.  BUT, the best parts worth mentioning were:

1.  I had a gal stop me at the wall and ask if I would help her understand how to breathe.  She had been watching me trying to learn, but hoped I would help her (I did, I think).

2.  Another gal, who I recognized from being in the pool earlier, stopped me in the locker room to tell me that I swim good (her word choice).

This is truly shocking for me, a person (who is still slow, but) has progressed this far from not even being able to swim a length 5 years ago.    Apparently I do not appear to be flailing!  I had no idea.  I still can't believe it...

I've gotten runner's high before, but this is the first for a swimmer's high.  There is hope, people!

Helping others is a very rewarding feeling. You can see why some people are so passionate about coaching.
