It is my own personal protest against the behavior of the press/media vehicles on the course.

I'm not watching it on TV anymore............................................but only because my provider just took VS off the package we had----just after stage 8.........Yell

 

Sorry I realize this isn't what you mean but I'm a little ticked---and I understand your feeling about the crashes caused by poor coverage support!!

Well, if you choose to protest over the asinine behavior of a few, then have at it..  The Tour got rid of them and that is good for me..  I wouldn't miss a day for anything to watch Alberto Contador fall farther and farther behind...  Hopefully, the "Little Pistolero" doesn't find more "tainted" meat to help him get thru the mountains....  Hope your local paper has a thorough sports section...  Good Luck..

I couldn't agree more. I was just thinking today ... "Ah, Alberto ... really tough to make it through the mountains without the 'super' Spanish steaks, eh?"

The riders themselves want the TV coverage. The media circus is and has always been part of what makes Le Tour. And the on-course vehicles capture (for the commentators and for us) so many of the domestiques and give them their incredibly-well-deserved moment in the sun.
