Subject: Recommendation for a massage therapist?
Anyone have a favorite?  I'd prefer someone who is an athlete or at least understands the unique needs that we have.  It's been over 2 months since my last one and I'm dying here.  I would prefer someone in Denver or points south- would also consider going to the Springs.  Any assistance is appreciated!  Massage Envy just doesn't cut it for me.

Darn it. I know people in Louisville but no points south.  Sorry.

Hey Matt.  Long time lurker, not much of a poster, but I'm a friend of Gaye's.  Anyway, my friend Sabra is a massage therapist and I really think she's the best.  She's a triathlete and runner and she really gets it when it comes to athletes.  She works at Moyer Total Wellness and they are at about Colorado and I-25.

Don't let her size fool you.  She may be tiny, but those magic elbows really pack a punch.

Thanks, Shannon- I just went to their site and it's right down the street from my office.  Going to try to get in this week. Welcome to BT- any friend of Gaye's is a friend of mine!

I have been seeing him for a couple years now and he has kept me healthy and training.  He's quite the athlete himself and knows the needs of most athletes.  He offers a discount if you are a member of RMTC.  His office is at Colorado and Florida.

Have to chime in here with mine...

Susan Fouts, Core Balance Massage
720-560-8404
Office is @ Dry Creek, just east of Colorado.

Have been seeing her for a few years now.  She's a national champion Masters swimmer (long stuff, like 5k and up) and knows triathletes well and is a shoulder guru.  She did wonders for my wife as well post breast cancer surgeries.  $65 gets you about 1:15 worth (plus tip).

Unfortunately she is on vacation until early September right now , but for the future...

And yea, Massage Envy and chains et al are pretty much worthless for athletes.
