As always, this race was well run. I wish they started at 7 though to avoid some of the heat.

Course: HOT. HOT.REALLY HOT. Couldn't get any nutrition in. First part of the course managed to take in water and some electrolyte tabs. Threw up around mile 8 and later shortly after the bluff and after that the best I could do was use the ice on the course. I fell down around mile 11.5. I finished the course though :) Got to visit the med tent afterwards for IV fluids. The med tent was so full they were pulling volunteers from the food tent to help.

I'd like to say nice work, but I still think you are very lucky you didn't get taken to the hospital.  Throwing up, staggering, falling down.  Only 1 liter of fluid.  Your stubborn-ness rivals no other!  Glad you are okay.  Rest today - okay???

I was curious about this race because I did Racine this weekend...wondering if DC was better...apparently it was the same kind of sufferfest.  Congrats for finishing!
