Swim
Comments: Hung on to mark snowise's heels as long as I could (maybe 150 yards), and then swam the rest on my own. Good pace I think Transition 1
Comments: Might have been the 1st time ever that my wetsuit didn't get stuck on my heels. I didn't use any body glide- but I pulled it all the way down to my calves before I tried to pull it off. Worked well. May need to practice this a bit more. Bike
Comments: Held it close to LT for as much of the race as I could- cept the downhills. This was all I had. What would you do differently?: ? Train more? Transition 2
Comments: I thought it was reasonably quick. kicked off the cycling shoes, slipped on the socks and running shoes. All went smoothly What would you do differently?: maybe no socks? Run
Comments: rocked it. Started off just a touch easy, taking smaller steps out of the parking area to the flat. Took 1/4 mile or more for my calves to loosen up and then I brought it right up to LT and a little above as the hill got steeper. Basically- ran it as hard as I could sustain. Let the legs fly down the hill as best I could, and then pushed it across the flat part to the end. Perhaps I had another 2% to give, but not much more. Post race
Warm down: two veggie burgers Event comments: Hey- this is just a little Club training tri. Thanks to Mark Snowise for organizing and Steve Foley- fresh off of rockin' IMLP, for taking the times and doing some barbecue cooking for us all. I love these little tri's. Last updated: 2011-07-28 12:00 AM
