Woke up at 4 and drove down. Plenty of time to get setup.

I did some streching since I was a little sore from this week's workouts. Went for a short swim to practice sighting the exit.

Comments:

I did spend some time to put on my socks. Overall pleased.

  • 48m 36s
  • 13 miles
  • 16.05 mile/hr
Comments:

I thought this was one of my best bike rides of all time. I was a little dissapointed with the time.
What would you do differently?:

Try and get more interval work in my training and get a little lighter on the bike too.
Transition 2
  • 01m 23s
Comments:

Very pleased with this. I should have gotten Yankz in my shoes months ago.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe straighten up my toungues of the shoes. I think it might have given me some blisters.

  • 41m 33s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 13m 22s  min/mile
Comments:

Still not were I want to be in the run but it was better than 2 years ago.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe try and get some more in during the run and bring something like blocks or chomps for the run. I felt a little under nurished during the start of Mile 3.
Post race
Warm down:

Search for water, food, and friends.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not having a great end of July or start of August did not help me.

Event comments:

I can't think of many things that could make this race better. I just love this race.

very nice day...congrats on making progress over past years...it is all we can ask for, right?  I love your T-2 time...the power of yankz! There is lots of time to steal back during transitions and you got some back on that one.  Keeps up the good work...and good luck at your next race!
