![]() Swim
Comments: I knew it was going to be a slow go. 78 days post op from a rupured bicep tendon and was only able to get back to swimming 18 days ago. Arm help up nicely and did not want to push it and rupture the bicep again. 1st HIM distance and was happy. This swim was faster than my OLY distance in June. What would you do differently?: I simply need more pool time and to strengthen my arm. still 2-3 months away from being fully functional ![]() Transition 1
Comments: bad bad bad... arm warmers seemed to take forever... easilt 3-4 minutes. socks went on fine and that was a last minute decision I was happy with. put powder in them the night beforemaybe powder in the arm warmer would have been smart as well. What would you do differently?: would have been good without the arm warmers. ![]() Bike
![]() Transition 2
![]() Run
Comments: good pacing until mile 7. started to cramp... both achilles...forearms starting to cramp as well. boils down to durability What would you do differently?: train more ![]() Post race
Warm down: walked.. went to Med tent got ice for achilles and calfs. TENS unit on calves and lower back What limited your ability to perform faster: durability Last updated: 2011-09-14 12:00 AM

Sunny
Overall Rank = 597/737
Age Group = 35-39
Age Group Rank = 70/78
Awoke at 4am. Bagel, nut butter, unsweetened apple sauce, banana, sports drink, water, strong coffee by 430. Sat and thought about what I needed to do to be successful on this day. Was going to be cold but sunny
got to transition at 5:45am. Plenty of time... one hour to T close. Set up everything...good to go. Knew it was going to be a long T1 with the arm warmers.
