When I upload the tcx file to BT, no power data shows up, either. Not a big deal, b/c I just add it manually. Would love for this bug to get fixed, though.

I believe this is a bug with the BT software. I don't think they are validating the schema correctly.

They were going to fix that a while ago. Could you contact them and remind them? That will get them going on it.

Maybe I am late to the party, but planning on signing up tomorrow.  Have a Computrainer.  Should it be easy to get it working?

Scared to see what my output is on the 20 minute test, but excited to become a better cyclist.

Now is there something like this to get me to run and swim faster?

Hey Dodgersmom,

It should be easy! The only that might hang you up is if you don't have the USB to Stereo adapter. There are many ways to connect computrainers to computers but our software only works with the USB to Stereo adapter. Never fear though, it's the most common.

There's also to install if you're on windows xp or OSX.

There's a picture of that USB to stereo adapter, a link to the driver install and even a walkthrough video on how to hook up your computrainer on this page: http://support.trainerroad.com/entries/20883987-how-do-i-use-my-com...

I would watch that video. It shows you how to calibrate your computrainer and change the intensity on the fly (if you choose to).

Since you're going to start with a test and we don't know your FTP, the default of 200 might be too high or too low for you. You can adjust the intensity as you workout with your little computrainer head unit. Then when you get to the test portion, you go all out. The software will change the resistance to make it feel like you're on a 2% slope.

I feel that I've just confused the issue now.... Best thing is to just go to this page and watch the video!

Thanks for the response Nate.  This may be a dumb question but...

What do I plug into the stereo end of that adapter?
