Subject: Practical advice not medical advice requested
Just had gallbladder removal by laproscopy(sp). I know I am out at least a week until see doctor next week, wondering from a practical standpoint how long before can get back on the bike from anyone that have been there before. Off a week due to sickness before surgury and already getting restless. Thanks for any input.

I went through this in January and was only running at the time. It was 2 weeks for me, but of course all people are different, so a medical professional might be your best bet...

I ran a 1/2 marathon two months later, so whatever base you've built up should be waiting for you when you return. And return slow, don't try to pick up right where you left off. The first few runs when I returned included some discomfort, nothing real bad, just interesting. It was all good after that.
