Subject: Cannondale Multisport 800 - $600

I recently purchased a new carbon fiber bike and I figured I'd see if anyone is looking to buy a good starter bike. I've got a 2000 Cannondale Multi-sport 800. This bike is a CAAD 4, SLICE technology design, aluminum bike. The bike is fully outfitted with Shimano 105 parts including the shifters.

I following has been done within the past year:

  • Added Profile Design tri base bar ($100)
  • Added Profile Design F22 carbon fiber aero bars ($75)
  • Added Botrager stem 90mm ($250
  • Added Shimano shifters ($35)
  • Replaced all cabling with new cabling
  • Complete overhaul by my LBS ($176) - Complete disassembled, cleaned and polished; overhaul of headset, hubs and bottom bracket; complete drive-train cleaning and tune-up; brakes adjusted; derailleurs adjusted and pulleys lubed; adjusted all bearings as required; front and rear wheels trued; overall frame lube and cleaning upon reassembly
  • New Michelin Lithion rubber and tubes

The front derailleur needs a slight adjustment, I just haven't gotten around to taking it back to the shop although I could probably do it but haven't messed with it. I would have no issue riding this bike anywhere, anytime.

I'm asking $600 plus shpg. I don't have to sell this bike because I can use it for a trainer. However, if there is someone who is interested in picking it up, please give me a holler!

Michael

The DP water bottle on the aero is not included, nor is the Cateye or the rear bag. Look pedals and DP rear cage and pump are included. I may have an additional bag that I'll include.

Was that bike originally equipped with a quill stem? If so, how was it changed to the current one?

( i have a similar older C'dale, and may need to change the quill stem)

thanks

Probably with one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Origin8-Threaded-Threadless-Quill-Adapter/dp/B0037N6PEC/ref=pd_sim_sg1/188-4299339-0194163

They work pretty well and make fitting an older bike easier by allowing the use of more modern stems.

This a 58 or 60cm bike, not sure which as I don't recall and I'm not at home right now. I'm 6'2", 205lbs and have no problems riding this bike. I've ridden Biathlons, Duathlons, Sprints, an Olympic, and a few charity rides for 30 to 60 miles. It's a comfortable bike and I've never had any problems riding it.

I purchased a new bike because that was my plan over two years ago if I stuck with it.

This is a CAAD 4, 6061 T6 aluminum frame and fork. The bike is fairly lite. In it's original form it weighed around 20.5 I believe. I've changed the cockpit out and the seat so I would say it's around 18-20 at this point. I am not at home so I cannot weigh it at the LBS.

JMMauldwin - 2011-10-22 8:46 PM Bump

I know this is off subject, but what does the term "Bump" mean? Does it mean you're just checking back in on your item for sale?
