How many of you tri guys, by guys I mean men, blokes, dudes (sorry ladies, you can reply if you want) out there cook for your SO?

I do 90% of the cooking in my house, not as a trade against other jobs, but because I enjoy it.
I was told it was "sexy" once by a friend, that a man cooks.

Am I getting ripped off here or should I exploit my "sexiness"in the kitchen?

I love cooking - especially in the summer when it's nice to grill. I wish I had more time and I wish I could spend more time doing that but my commute prevents me from getting home early enough to get dinner started.

Hey - if you like it, DO IT. Don't care what anyone else thinks.

My father is a chef, has been for about 30 years now. I spent my entire childhood in the kitchen cooking, and feel like I'm a damn good cook. I cook ALL THE TIME for my GF, and she loves it! No better way to get my girl in the sack than cooking her a big, scrumcious dinner.

I don't love to cook but I cook 5 -6  days a week. I work at home and wife has to commute.  Mostly I grill and since I live in S. California I can usually do that year round.  The wife probably gets tired of my cooking due to the diet. Mostly chicken and fish with meat thrown in about 2 days a week.  She is Latina and I think she would like more mexican food but she never complains.

Also the cleaning and laundry has become largely mine. Really don't mind though. Better to not have a tired wife in the evening. My laundry over the last 8 months has become quite a chore since the exercise regiment started. Running shorts, socks, shirts, biking shorts and towels. Its adds up over a week especially the two workouts a day.

Hello, My name is Mike, and I cook for my wife (as much as I can)...

I cook for the family too, and do some occasional sewing.

I enjoy cooking, and my family enjoys what I cook (most of the time). I'd cook more, but we'd be eating a continental dinner (about 9:30 PM) with my work schedule.

I doubt you are getting ripped, but by all means, exploit your talents!

My wife will cook, but to her it's a chore since she really doesn't enjoy it. She is, however, great at baking - pastries and all sorts of desserts.

I, on the other hand, love it in the kitchen and experiment all the time (but no baking for me)

Our dream is to open a B&B where she can host & I can cook, harvesting veggies and fresh herbs from our garden and to finally be able to utilize our recently restored conservatory for winter growing.

We share cooking duties. One cooks, the other does the cleanup.
My favorite cuisines to cook are Thai and Indian. My kheema is to die for and they'll have to pry my pad thai recipe from my cold dead hands.

OH MY GOD, IT'S MARTHA STEWART LIVING ON BT

As for getting ripped off, I think a loss in translation has occurred. "ripped off" in Australia means you aren't getting what you deserve, like short changed. And as I understand iit in the US, ripped means, a) Cut, buff, muscular or B0 Given a hard time.

So that will explain my use of teh term..

Godd to see so many SNAGS out there helping their ladies around the house either through want or fear its all good.

Sorry comet, the sharing thing RE: cooking together is a no no. I am very protective of my chefs knives, pans etc and ingredients used and also timing of disshes and techniques used.

I am seeking couselling about it.

I don't have an SO, so I cook for myself.

I enjoy the hell out of cooking, even if it's just for myself.

The two magazines I read the most are Triathlete and Sunset.

For Christmas last year I got triathlon/bike/running stuff and kitchen stuff.

Yeah, I think I've got the same problem you do.    I've yet to figure out how to exploit it for fun and profit, but I'm working on it.  If you figure it out, do share the plan.

I do 85-90 % of the cooking in my house. I've been doing it for going on 20 years now. By this point, I am a damn fine cook if I do say so myself. I only recently started in on the baking thing, but it's NBD really.
