Since your HM is in February it gives you plenty of time to work.  I say print out a Marathon training plan and start working on it right now.  By the time you hit February you'll have a great base and the HM will be a piece of cake.

I prefer the football field goal attempt method.  Stand right behind your friend.  Take three paces backwards, then two to the side.  Line up your target, and kick as hard as you can.
