Hi Kelly!

I have just signed up looks like a great site to get some info off. I'm doing my first "mini" triathlons this year - looking forward to it.

How about you?

Hi..another Nz'er here. I have just joined this site as well. I thought the training log might be useful to use. I have done the Kapiti triathlon twice a few years ago but nothing since and am very unfit. I am just embarking on a training programme in preparation for tri's in the new year.

Hey everyone!! Great to see a few Nzers on here, where are you guys from?  I'm from good old Invercargill :-)  Have done a few tris - the smaller ones such as the Sun Latte Active Women Series and The Special K.  Also done a few local off road duathlons and other duathlons, and also into cycling a lot, just heading out now actually!!

Keep in touch

What makes you want to relocate in New Zealand?

Hi. I'm from Wellington (but from Otago originally!). I haven't done much activity for a few years and am just getting into it. I have registered for a couple of triathlons and a duathlon in Feb/March/April so have a little work to do. It's good to find a forum like this where we might be able to give each other moral support.
Happy training.

Hey there are you guys using the logs yet?  If so I'll pop in and do some "Inspires" and add you to my list of people to keep an eye on :-)

Hey sorry...didn't mean to pry. It always interests me why people want to move to New Zealand - not that I should wonder of course, since it is such a wonderful place to live. Any reason is a good reason - as long as it's right for you.

I'm not yet. But I do plan to. I went to the gym tonight to get my new program for concentrating on tri training, only to discover I should have been there at 7am not 7pm!!! Once I have my program and am organised I will start using the logs. Will keep you posted.

nono, you're not prying. there's just too many things coming together to list them all. most importantly it's that i'm sick and tired of the rat race that defines life in Silicon Valley. i do love Northern California, but i don't love what it's becoming - so i was looking for a place a bit similar in terms of climate and geography that didn't have the disadvantages. Kiwiland seems to come pretty close.

I'm sure you will. Unemployment is at an all time low and there is a labour shortage in many areas so probably an ideal time for people looking to move here. Good luck in your venture.

Hi Tarshspider
Yes, I am doing their tri. I did Kapiti some time ago without much swimming ability. Today I started lessons so I can learn to breath and hopefully do the swim bit much better. Where are you located?

Hey guys, I have enter Hamish Carter as the best male triathlete. I hope that you will support my decision. He did win gold at the olympics last year, I don't think that you can get much better than that. Maybe I am just bias because he is from the great under of New Zealand. ;)
