I'm doing my first 1/2 ironman in March 2006. My two newbie questions are about the bike portion and when they provide liquids for you:

1) Do they give you the dumb little cups like during the run portion. I can't imagine myself riding (even at my slow pace) and trying to grab a cup.

2) Is the water table always on your right hand side (I assume so)?

You generally get bottles, and the stations can be on either side, depending on how the course is set up, but usually on the right.

If you're doing March and you live in Sourthern California, then I'll assume you are doing Ralph's

1) Bottles.
2) They are on both sides, but the bulk of the bike volunteers are on the right side.

Yup, that's the one. Already registered so it's forcing me to train harder and more consistently.

Are you doing that one also?

Uh Oh.  Is it time to start training for Ralph's already?
