Don't just get fitted for shoes....

Get fitted for your bike properly too.
I "inherited" a 20 year old racing bike when I moved to America. I adjusted it to what I thought was right for my size. It rode well I was happy with it. Until this weekend when I got the bike tuned up with the help of an experienced cyclist. He took one look at me riding and immediately raised the seat 3/4". It was like riding a totally different bike. I have now fitted my aero bars and when I ride it I feel like I could set fire to the asphalt. I don't need flames on my cycling clothes .
The moral of this story is even if you think your bike is set up right get it double checked by someone else.
