I wouldn't have the luxury of what I do because of all of you, many of you younger then me these days...if you're abroad, come home safe..if you've served..a big thank you for your at times, unrecognized sacrifices.

You're welcome.

It let me see the world, and has been a part of my life since I was born (father was a 31 year Naval officer, I was in the Army for a few years and was in Desert Storm, and then went to the Naval Academy - but resigned to be a civilian and follow my own path). Don't regret one minute of service!

My thanks as well to all those that are still out there slinging lead in the trenches, and those that have in the past.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I agree, thanks to all veterans and know that your sacrifices are appreciated. Even if you didn't experience "hollywood" moments like taking a bullet or saving a buddy or whatever you have made sacrifices that have helped the rest of us. You may have put off starting a family, or a different career or whatever. I can only speak for myself, but you have my gratitude and my respect and I hope that you only experience good fortune for the rest of your lives.

I say thank you to the sentiments and well wishes above.  Even though we don't do it for the "thank you", it is always good to hear.  I know the ones that are currently overseas would love to hear it.  Thank you for keeping them in your thoughts.  they are the ones that are most deserving, and of course let's all say a prayer for those families that have lost a service member so that we all could enjoy the life that we live daily.

Thanks for remembering guys. Not everyone comes away from military service with the same fond memories but as we get older the fact that we served becomes more important to us. I honestly did not know what I was getting into at 17 years old but realize now my life would be far different today if not for the service to my country and the lessons I learned there.

I, too add my thanks to those who've served under the flag.

Sidenote:  I for one wish a soldier would pull our their sidearm and shoot Oipolloi's creepy "fat-smiling-catapillar-with-legs-and-teeth" avatar.  That thing gives me the heebie jeebies.

Ditto to the sentiments mentioned above!

And Karl, I mean Kettle calling POT, I seem to recall a prettty freaky avatar you once sported that gave a lotta people the heebie-jeebies.
