This Sunday will be my first oly in a year.  I've actually only done two in my life, and they were both in Clermont, which is hilly.  This one is flat.  I REALLY want to do well here.  I'd like to see how fast I can be to see if it's worth my while to try short course nationals Shreveport in Sept.  The nervous anticipation is really exciting.  I do a moderate amount of races, but this one's really important for me.  Hope I do well.

Thanks to all who cheered me on either in person or via internet this past weekend.  I had a blast.  I really left it all out there on the course.  Although I don't think I have what it takes to make it worth my while to go to Shreveport for short course tri nationals (at least not yet!), I do plan on going to Alpharetta for short course duathlon nationals.

I had a great time at St. Anthony's, not just with my race.  The day before was the Meek and Mighty sprint reverse tri's.  This was my first experience seeing a tri using a pool, but it was great.  I got to see HerDaughter compete.  You should've seen me cheering "GO, HERDAUGHTER, GO HERDAUGHTER"!  She did a great job.  Seeing the really little ones age 6-10 (I think that's the ages) was truly inspirational.  The first place finishers were faster than I'd ever hope to go, but the two little s who finished last were incredible!  I didn't get to see their swim, but I did see their bike.  They were both riding with training wheels, and they just kept going, even though everyone else was long finished.  It was an amazing lesson in perseverance.  What an awesome weekend.
