Subject: New tri and from Maryland!!!
Hey hows it going? I am currently a 21 year old senior student at Salisbury University. I am looking to switch from college sports (lacrosse) and train for a tri. I am doing a sprint tri with a high school buddy of mine in mid april. I have been lifting a lot lately and now am switching to swimming and running. Hoping to get a bike this christmas from the parents I havent had the chance to get into any biking lately.

Anyways just wanted to say hello and if anyone has any workout plans for swimming or anything at all in general. I'm all ears!!

Thanks

welcome to the sport and to the site dlax. if you are looking for training plans, check out the stuff on this site. if you are looking for more swim oriented training, i recommend Total Immersion. Great drills, instruction, etc to get you going in the pool.

Welcome fellow Marylander!  You're in a couple of great locations for triathlons.  If you haven't already, check out  http://www.tricolumbia.org/

Hope Santa brings you that bike!

Welcome to BT!   There are a lot of us in the Columbia area.  If you are looking for a good bike shop to recommend to your folks, Race Pace in Columbia is great.  So is Princeton Sports.

Welcome to BT dlaxman31.

I was in Salisbury this October for the Seagull Century.  Great time even though it rained like crazy.

I'll be back in Chambridge in September to compete in the ChesapeakeMan Ultra.

Good luck with training!

Yeah the century wasn't good at all this year. I took a look at some of the venues going on like inside the gym. How did you do during the Century?

What date is the Ultra?
