The guy was leaning in way past the barrier. He might have been saying something to the rider that the rider didn't like. |

If you watch it fifteen times like I did, you'll see the guy (about to be kicked) behind the ropes out into the course, crouched down and pressing his hands towards the ground, like he's telling the biker to slow down. Very much in the bikers space. I hate when things get in my bike space. But in my world, it's more likely to be a Bonneville. |

Some were trying to get pictures. Others were just heckling the riders. I can remember a few races were a rider let his elbow slip a little wide while passing those people. Face + Elbow at 20+ mph made sure they didn't try that again |
