I believe Christine did these last years. As I am going to begin speed work in the Spring, I think these will be great little races to do. They are done on Friday evenings.

What: 4 Mile Picnic Island Adventure Run
Where: Picnic Island Park (on the South end of Westshore Blvd.)
Time: 6:45 p.m. (All Races - rain or shine)

What is the Picnic Island Adventure Run? It is a 3.5mile off-road run that will have a number of great challenges that are designed to be fun and push your body to new limits.

What kind of challenges can I expect? Crawling, beach running - including getting your feet wet, short walls to jump, and a few other surprises.

What can this race be compared to? There is nothing like the Picnic Island Adventure Run in Tampa Bay. This race combines a beautiful park, a great sunset view over the water, music, and a challenging course unlike anything you have seen before. Top it all off with the best post-race party and a feast from Affordable Catering!

There are now two Christines here.  I am NOT the one on vacation, having a great time kicking it up with Jess. 

Anyways, I didn't do these last year.  I meant to, it was on my wall.   Bad timing on all of them- just like the Clearwater swims.  *sigh*
